About

Volunteer abroad in France with Cultural Homestay International's World Explorers program! The exciting program gives volunteers the opportunity to live with a French family and teach them English while also picking up on some French by interacting with the host-family! This program provides volunteers with room and board in exchange for a maximum of 15 hours of French lessons a week. Placement may be anywhere in the country.

If you've ever wanted to travel to France, then this is your chance to go and explore with covered room and board. Eat amazing food, learn the romantic language and see the beautiful sights France has to offer.

Visit the CHI website at chinet.org for more information about becoming a World Explorer in France. Apply today!

Hey John! We can always ask if there are any families that would accept a couple. But unfortunately, it is pretty hard to place 2 people in the same home. This comes down to housing size and the fact that families don't necessarily need 30-hours of English lessons per week. We do offer a Buddy Program in which two friends can each get a $100 discount to be placed in the same area.

Such an amazing experience!

I loved my stay in France. I learned so much. My family was so kind and lovely. We had a lot of fun sharing food and culture. I went on vacations with them and spoke English with the children. It was great because I also got a few weeks to travel and I also got to practice my French a lot too! I stayed in Normandy about an hour outside of Paris by train. I recommend this experience for sure!
