About

Service learning is a teaching method that takes classroom education and connects it to real life services that directly benefit the community or environment. Apart from benefitting the local community, all our programs offer real-life experiences to enhance academic studies, increase personal growth and the interpersonal skills of all participants.

These programs can be tailor made for each university, college or high school group, they follow an accredited curriculum, and are made up of the following 5 portions:

1. Investigation
2. Preparation and Planning
3. The Service
4. Reflection Period
5. Demonstration and Celebration

Below are some of our most popular courses:

Real work, real experiences

Twenty four Canadian high school students spent two time in Nepal, working in a small village in the foothills of the Himalayas. Brick-work was not a skill that any of these students possessed previously but after a week, they've all become comfortable and the team regularly lays 2000 bricks per day. With this many students, plus local workers and staff, a school comes into existence where previously there was just an empty space. The students leave with a new appreciation for life in the mountains and with memories of new friends, new places and new experiences. We'll be back!
